Marie, Tina, Karen (an American ALT) and I went to Kobe for the weekend. It is about a 35minute train ride and is the next main town from Himeji. During the weekend we met up with a teacher Marie works with - Mayumi and her daughter Yuko. We went shopping - I found a white down jacket that fitted!, went to a carpenters museum, bead museum - where we made a glass bead, went to Soraku-en garden, a cool jazz bar and the next day to China town as it was Chinese new year.
